dannyp.jpg Danny didn't start playing the guitar until nearly 14 years of age.  However it wasn't long before he was performing in a band playing the local pub and club scene. Always interested in jazz and exploring the guitar he took lessons with Ike Isaacs (known as the guitar guru).  It was Ike who got him his first professional engagement in the production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester.

He continued as a freelance musician playing in other bands which included a residency in Torquay at the Dorado night club. He also continued working in the theatre and played guitar in several productions - including "Leave Him to Heaven", Cinderella and Tommy. In 1977 he toured with international artist Charles Aznavour taking him to the States, the Middle East and Italy. After touring he played in Dubai for two months. Later he studied classical guitar for which he gained an LTCL with Trinity College London.

In 1984 he opened his first music shop and in 1993 his second, which he still runs with his business partner Tony Burroughs.  In 1987 he started working with Isla St.Clair touring England and Scotland and to date has recorded 7 albums with her.

Danny still has a busy schedule working with top guitarist Jerry Playle as Oktober. They have been working some 15 years composing and performing in concert. Their music has had much BBC2 and Radio 2 airplay and their composition "Transitions" was used in the final scene of the award winning German film Prinzessinnenbad which won best documentary at the German Academy awards in 2008.  They are now working on their third album due for release next year.
